Available Connection Methods
The following connection methods are available on the printer.
• Wireless Connection
  1. Connect the printer and computer/smartphone/tablet using a wireless router.
  2. If you have a wireless router, we recommend you use one for wireless connection.
• Wireless Direct
  • Connect the printer and computer/smartphone/tablet without using a wireless router.
• Wired Connection
  • Connect the printer and hub/router using a LAN cable. Prepare a LAN cable.

Using Printer with Wireless Direct

Canon PIXMA TS8050 Application Software for Network (Windows)
For Windows, you can use IJ Network Device Setup Utility to perform network settings. It allows a network/printer administrator to manage printers on network.
When connecting another device while a device (such as a smartphone) is already connected to the printer, connect it using the same connection method as the connected device.
If you connect using a different connection method, the connection to the device in use will be disabled.
Connection Using a Wired Network cannot be performed on printers that do not support a wired connection.

Canon PIXMA TS8050 Wireless Setup Connect via wireless router

  1. You cannot establish a printer with wireless and wired connections at the same time.
  2. Make sure your device and the wireless router are connected. For details on checking these settings, see the manual supplied with the wireless router or contact its manufacturer.
  3. As for a device already connected to the printer without using a wireless router, reconnect it via a wireless router.
  4. Configuration, router functions, setup procedures and security settings of network devices vary depending on the system environment. For details, see the manual for your network device or contact its manufacturer.
  5. This printer does not support IEEE802.11ac, IEEE802.11a, or IEEE802.11n (5 GHz). Check if your device supports IEEE802.11n (2.4 GHz), IEEE802.11g or IEEE802.11b.
  6. If your device is set to the "IEEE802.11n only" mode, WEP or TKIP cannot be used as a security protocol. Change the security protocol for your device to something other than WEP and TKIP or change the setting to something other than "IEEE802.11n only." The connection between your device and the wireless router will be temporarily disabled while the setting is changed. Do not proceed to the next screen of this guide until setup is complete.
  7. For office use, consult your network administrator.
  8. Note that if you connect to a network with no security protection, your personal information could be disclosed to a third party.
  9. If you connect a device and the printer using Wireless Direct, Internet connection may become unavailable depending on your environment. In that case, web services for the printer cannot be used.
  10. In Wireless Direct mode, you can connect up to five devices at the same time. If you try to connect a sixth device while five devices are already connected, an error will appear.
  11. If an error appears, disconnect a device that does not use the printer, then configure settings again.
  12. Devices connected to the printer using Wireless Direct cannot communicate with each other.
  13. Firmware updates for the printer are not available while using Wireless Direct.
  14. When a device has been connected to the printer without using a wireless router and you want to set it up again using the same connection method, disconnect it first. Disable the connection between the device and printer in the Wi-Fi setting screen.

Connection Using a Wired Network

  1. You cannot establish a printer with wireless and wired connections at the same time.
  2. When using a router, connect the printer and a device to the LAN side (same network segment).
Using Printer with Wireless Direct
You can connect devices (e.g. smartphone, or tablet) to the printer by two methods below.
  • Wireless connection (connecting devices via a wireless router)
  • Direct wireless connection (connecting devices using Wireless Direct)
This section describes Wireless Direct, which allows you to print or scan by connecting the devices to the printer directly.
Follow the procedure below to use Wireless Direct.

Canon PIXMA TS8050 Printer's Settings

  1. Make sure PIXMA TS8050 is turned on.
  2. Select Setup on the HOME screen. Using the Operation Panel
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Device settings.
  5. Select LAN settings.
  6. Select Wireless Direct.
  7. Select Wireless Direct active/inactive.
  8. Select ON. The confirmation screen asking if you display the password information appears.
  9. Select Yes or No. the list of Wireless Direct settings is displayed. The device detects the printer by the identifier (SSID).
  10. Select OK.
The Wireless Direct is enabled and a device can be connected to the printer wirelessly.

  1. Turn on wireless communication on your device.
  2. Select "DIRECT-XXXX-TS9000series" ("X" represents alphanumeric characters) from list displayed on device.

Use the operation panel to print the Canon PIXMA TS8020 wireless printer setup current network. The network settings printout contains important information about your network. Handle it with care.
  1. Make sure printer is turned on. If the HOME screen is not displayed, press the HOME button.
  2. Load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.

Follow either procedure below to change LAN connection method (wired or wireless).
• For Windows:
  • Use the Setup CD-ROM or follow the instructions on the Canon website to redo setup.
  • Tap the icon on the lower left on HOME screen, select Yes and select Wireless LAN -> WLAN active/inactive -> Active, or select Wired LAN -> Wired LAN active/inactive -> Active according to the connection method you want to use. After that, perform settings on the Network Settings screen on IJ Network Device Setup Utility.
• For Mac OS:
  • Follow the instructions on the Canon website to redo setup.

Changing Wireless LAN Connection Method

Follow either procedure below to change wireless LAN connection method (infrastructure or wireless
direct).
  • For Windows:
  • Use the Setup CD-ROM or follow the instructions on the Canon website to redo setup.
  • Perform settings on the Network Settings screen on IJ Network Device Setup Utility.
  • Before you perform settings using IJ Network Device Setup Utility, turn on Easy wireless connect mode on the printer following the procedure below.
  1. Make sure Canon TS8020 is turned on. If the HOME screen is not displayed, press the HOME button.
  2. Tap (Network status) icon.
  3. Check message and tap Yes.
  4. Tap LAN settings.
  5. Tap Wireless LAN.
  6. Tap Wireless LAN setup.
  7. Tap Easy wireless connect.
  8. Check message and tap Yes. Follow instructions on your smartphone or tablet.
  9. If message saying setup is completed appears, tap OK.
• For Mac OS:
Follow the instructions on the Canon website to redo setup.

Canon PIXMA TS8020 Using Wireless Direct

You can connect devices (e.g. smartphone, or tablet) to the PIXMA TS8020 by two methods below.
  • Wireless connection (connecting devices via a wireless router)
  • Direct wireless connection (connecting devices using Wireless Direct)
This section describes Wireless Direct, which allows you to print or scan by connecting the devices to the printer directly.

Changing Printer's Settings

  1. Make sure printer is turned on.
  2. Select Setup on the HOME screen.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Device settings.
  5. Select LAN settings.
  6. Select Wireless Direct.
  7. Select Wireless Direct active/inactive.
  8. Select ON. The confirmation screen asking if you display the password information appears.
  9. Select Yes or No. The list of Wireless Direct settings is displayed. The device detects the printer by the identifier (SSID).
  10. Select OK.

Changing Printer Setting to Use Wireless LAN

Follow the procedure below to change the printer setting to use wireless LAN.
  1. Select Setup on the HOME screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Device settings.
  4. Select LAN settings.
  5. Select Wireless LAN.
  6. Select WLAN active/inactive.
  7. Select Active.
If you do not use the printer over wireless LAN, select Inactive.

Changing Wireless Direct Setting

Change the settings for the Wireless Direct following the procedure below.
  1. Make sure printer is turned on.
  2. Select Setup on the HOME screen.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Device settings.
  5. Select LAN settings.
  6. Select Wireless Direct.
  7. Select a setting item.
  • Tap A to display the confirmation screen. To update the identifier (SSID) and the password, tap Yes. To check the security setting and the updated password, tap Details and tap Yes on the screen displayed next.
  • To change the printer's name displayed on the Wi-Fi Direct compatible device Tap B to display the printer's name (device name) displayed on a Wi-Fi Direct compatible device. Follow the procedure below to change the name.
  1. Tap touch screen.
  2. Enter device name (up to 32 characters).
  3. Tap OK to finish entering device name.
  4. Tap OK to finish specifying device name.
  • To change the confirmation screen setting when a Wi-Fi Direct compatible device is connecting to the printer Tap C to display the confirmation screen. If you want the printer to display the screen to inform you a Wi-Fi direct compatible device is connecting to the printer, tap Yes.
  • To check the current Wireless Direct settings; Tap D to display the confirmation screen. To check the current Wireless Direct settings, tap Yes.
    8. Press HOME button.

Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wireless Setup

The Canon PIXMA MG3620 supports "access point mode" in which you can connect to the machine wirelessly from a computer or smartphone even in an environment without an access point (wireless router). Switch to "access point mode" with simple steps to enjoy scanning and printing wirelessly.
When you use the machine with the access point mode, be sure to specify the access point name (SSID) of the machine and the security setting in advance.

Canon PIXMA MG3620 wireless setup using Access point mode allows you to print or scan by connecting the printer to a device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet via wireless connection in an environment where a wireless router is not available. In addition, you can connect the machine to a device without a wireless router even where it is available.

Enabling Access Point Mode

Enable the access point mode following the procedure below.
  1. Make sure printer is turned on.
  2. Press and hold Wi-Fi button and release it when ON lamp flashes.
  3. Press Black button, Color button, and then Wi-Fi button in this order.
The ON lamp changed from flashing to lit and the access point mode is enabled.

Printing/Scanning with Access Point Mode

Specify the device settings, connect the device to the Canon PIXMA MG 3620, and then start printing/scanning following the procedure below. Before connecting a device, we recommended you check the access point name (SSID) and the password for the access point mode.
  1. Turn on wireless communication on your device. Enable "Wi-Fi" on your device's "Setting" menu.
  2. Select "XXXXXX-MG3620 series" ("XXXXXX" represents last six digits of machine's MAC address.) from list displayed on device.
  3. Enter password.
  4. Start printing or scanning from your device.

Terminating Access Point Mode

In environments that the printer is usually connected with the computer over the wireless LAN, set the PIXMA MG3620 to the wireless LAN connection following the procedure below when you finish using the device with the access point mode temporarily.
  1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button and release it when ON lamp flashes.
  2. Press Color button, Black button, and then Wi-Fi button in this order.
The ON lamp changed from flashing to lit, the Wi-Fi lamp lights up, and then the wireless LAN is
enabled. If you do not use the printer with the access point mode or over the wireless LAN:
Follow the procedure below to disable the access point mode and the wireless LAN.
  1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button and release it when ON lamp flashes.
  2. Press Black button twice and press Wi-Fi button.
The ON lamp changed from flashing to lit, the Wi-Fi lamp goes off, and then the wireless LAN is disabled. The printer serial number is printed on the sticker attached on the rear of the machine. It consists of 9 alphanumeric characters (four alphabets followed by five numbers).

Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wireless Setup Connection

There are two methods for connecting the printer to your device (such as a smartphone).
  • One method is to connect using a wireless router, and the other method is to connect without using a wireless router.
  • The two connection methods cannot be used at the same time.
  • If you have a wireless router, we recommend you use the method described in Connection Using a Wireless Router.
  • When connecting another device while a device is already connected to the printer, connect it using the same connection method as the connected device.
  • If you connect using a different connection method, the connection to the device in use will be disabled.
  1. When the connection between a device and a wireless router is completed and (Wi-Fi icon) is displayed in the device's screen, you can connect the device to the printer using the wireless router.
  2. Connection without Using a Wireless Router
  3. Connect the printer and a device without using a wireless router. Connect a device and the printer directly using the printer's access point mode function.
  4. When establishing a connection in the access point mode, Internet connection may become unavailable. In that case, web services for the printer cannot be used.
  5. If you connect a device connected to the Internet via a wireless router to the printer that is in the access point mode, the connection between the device and wireless router will be disabled. In that case, the connection of the device may switch to a mobile data connection automatically depending on your device. Transmission fees for connecting to the Internet using a mobile data connection apply.
  6. In the access point mode, you can connect up to five devices at the same time. If you try to connect a sixth device while five devices are already connected, an error will appear. If an error appears, disconnect one of the connected device you do not use and configure settings again

Canon PIXMA MG3600 Wireless Setup USB Connection

Connect the printer and a computer with a USB cable. Prepare a USB cable.
Direct Connection (Windows XP) (Appears in a new window)
  1. If the Wi-Fi lamp on the printer is flashing, press the Stop button.
  2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the ON lamp flashes.
  3. Check the SSID and network key of your printer. The default SSID is the printer name, and the default Password (Network key) is the serial number of the printer. Check the rear side of the printer or warranty. If the SSID/Password (Network key) are unknown, print the LAN setting information and check the SSID/ Password (Network key) field. How to print the LAN setting information : Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer. The LAN setting information will be printed. If you printed the LAN setting information, repeat step 2 before proceeding to step 4.
  4. Press the Color button then the Black button. The printer's Direct Connection will be enabled.
  5. Right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon in the notification area of the taskbar on the computer, then select View Available Wireless Networks.
  6. Select the network name (SSID) you want to use, then click Connect.
  7. Enter the Password (Network key), then click Connect.
  8. When connection is complete, click Back until the screen below appears.
Proceed with the setup.

Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wireless Setup Direct Connection (Access Point Mode)

  1. If a device is connected to the Internet via a wireless router, and you then connect it to a printer in Direct Connection mode, the existing connection between the device and wireless router will be disabled. In that case, the connection of the device may switch to a mobile data connection automatically depending on your device. When you connect to the Internet using a mobile data connection, charges may apply depending on your contract.
  2. When you connect a device and the printer using Direct Connection, the connection information will be saved to Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wi-Fi settings. The device may be connected to the printer automatically even after disconnecting it or connecting it to another wireless router.
  3. You cannot connect to a wireless router and a printer in Direct Connection mode at the same time. If you have a wireless router, it is recommended that you use the wireless router to connect to the printer.
  4. To prevent automatic connection to the printer in Direct Connection mode, change the connection mode after using the printer, or set not to connect automatically in the Wi-Fi settings of the device. For details on checking or changing wireless router settings, see the wireless router manual or contact its manufacturer.
  5. In Direct Connection mode, you can connect up to five devices at the same time. If you try to connect a sixth device while five devices are already connected, an error will appear. If an error appears, disconnect a device that does not use the printer, then configure settings again.

Easy Scanning with Auto Scan
You can scan easily by automatically detecting the item type.
The following types of items may not be scanned correctly. In that case, adjust the cropping frames
(scan areas) in whole image view of ScanGear (scanner driver) and scan again.
  1. Photos that have a whitish background
  2. Items printed on white paper, hand-written documents, business cards, etc.
  3. Thin items
  4. Thick items
When scanning two or more documents from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder), place documents of
the same size.
  1. Make sure that your scanner or printer is turned on.
  2. Place items on the platen or ADF of your scanner or printer. Placing Items (When Scanning from a Computer)
  3. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  4. Click Auto.
  • Click Cancel to cancel the scan.
  • To apply suitable corrections based on the item type, click Settings..., then select the Apply recommended image correction checkbox in the Settings (Auto Scan) dialog box.
  • To scan both sides of the documents automatically, click Settings..., then select the Scan both sides when scanning from the ADF checkbox in the Settings (Auto Scan) dialog box.
  • Scanned images are saved in the folder set for Save in in the Settings (Auto Scan) dialog  boxdisplayed by clicking Settings.... In the Settings (Auto Scan) dialog box, you can also make advanced scan settings.

Scanning Photos
You can scan photos placed on the platen with settings suitable for photos.
  1. Place the photo on the platen.
  2. Start IJ Scan Utility. Starting IJ Scan Utility
  3. Click Settings..., select the Settings (Photo Scan) dialog box, then set the paper size, resolution, etc. as required. Settings (Photo Scan) Dialog Box When setting is completed, click OK.
  4. Click Photo.
Scanning Documents
You can scan items placed on the platen with settings suitable for documents.
  1. Place the item on the platen. Placing Items (When Scanning from a Computer)
  2. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  3. Click Settings..., select the Settings (Document Scan) dialog box, then set the paper size, resolution, etc. as required. When setting is completed, click OK.
  4. Click Document.
Scanning with Favorite Settings
You can scan items placed on the platen with your favorite settings saved beforehand.
This is convenient for saving frequently used settings or when specifying scan settings in detail.
  1. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  2. Click Settings..., select the Settings (Custom Scan) dialog box, then set the select source, resolution, etc.
  3. When setting is completed, click OK. Once the settings are made, you can scan with the same settings from the next time. Place the item on the platen. Placing Items (When Scanning from a Computer)
  4. Click Custom.

Canon MX922 Scanning Items Larger than the Platen (Image Stitch)

Canon MX922 you can scan the left and right halves of an item larger than the platen and combine them back into one image. Items up to approximately twice as large as the platen are supported.
The following explains how to scan from the item to be placed on the left side.
  1. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  2. Click Settings..., select the Settings (Scan and Stitch) dialog box, then set the item type, resolution, etc. as required. When setting is completed, click OK.
  3. Click Stitch. The Image Stitch window appears.
  4. In Select Output Size, select an output size according to the paper size.
  5. Make sure that Scan from Left is selected in Scan Direction.
  6. Place the item that is to be displayed on the left side of the screen face-down on the platen.
  7. Click Start Scanning Image.
  8. Place the item that is to be displayed on the right side of the screen face-down on the platen.
  9. Click Start Scanning Image. The second item is scanned and appears. Click Cancel to cancel the scan.
  10. Adjust the scanned images as required. Use the Toolbar to rotate or zoom in/out, or drag the images to adjust their positions.
  11. Click Save.

Scanning Multiple Items at One Time

You can scan two or more photos (small items) placed on the platen at one time and save each image
individually.
  • The following types of items may not be cropped correctly. In that case, adjust the cropping frames (scan areas) in whole image view of ScanGear (scanner driver) and scan again.
  • Photos that have a whitish background
  • Items printed on white paper, hand-written documents, business cards, etc.

Not Using Auto Scan

In the Settings dialog box, set Paper Size to Auto scan and scan.
The screens for scanning with favorite settings are used as examples in the following descriptions.

  3. Click Settings....  
  4. Click Custom Scan.
  5. Select Select Source according to the items to be scanned.
  6. Select Auto scan for Paper Size, then click OK.
  7. Click Custom.

Using Auto Scan
The item type is detected automatically. Click Auto and scan.

Not Using Auto Scan
In the Settings dialog box, set Select Source to ADF or Auto, and scan.
The screens for scanning documents are used as examples in the following descriptions.
  1. Place the documents on the ADF. Placing Documents (ADF (Auto Document Feeder))
  2. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  3. Click Settings....
  4. Click Document Scan.
  5. Select Select Source according to the documents to be scanned. To scan only the front side of each document, select Document (ADF/Platen) or Document (ADF Simplex). To scan the front side then the back side of each document, select Document (ADF Manual Duplex).
  6. Set the color mode, document size, and scanning resolution as required. Click Document Scan Orientation Settings... to specify the orientation of the documents to be scanned. In the displayed dialog box, you can specify the Orientation and Binding Side. How to place the documents when scanning the back sides depends on the Binding Side. When setting is completed, click OK.
  7. Click Documen. When Document (ADF Manual Duplex) is selected for Select Source, proceed to Step 8.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to place the documents. When Long edge is Selected for Binding Side in Document Scan Orientation Settings... Place the documents after rotating the output documents 180 degrees. When Short edge is Selected for Binding Side in Document Scan Orientation Settings... Place the documents without changing the orientation of the output documents.
  9. Click OK. Scanning starts.

Saving after Checking Scan Results

You can check the scan results, then save the images to a computer.
You cannot check the scan results before saving when scanned using Auto scan or the operation
panel. The screens for scanning photos are used as examples in the following descriptions.
  1. Start IJ Scan Utility.
  2. Click Settings....
  3. Click Photo Scan.
  4. Select the Check scan results checkbox, then click OK.
  5. Click Photo. When scanning is completed, the Save Settings dialog box appears.
  6. Change the image order or file save options as required. You can change the image order or file save options in the Save Settings dialog box.
  7. Click OK.

You can select or change wireless network settings using Epson printer control panel.
To install Epson 4630 on a wireless network, follow the instructions on the Start Here sheet and install the necessary software. The installer program guides you through network setup.

To Epson WF 4630 Wireless Printer Setup network follow prosedure
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press .
  3. Select Epson WF 4630 Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard. if you need to disable the wireless network to set up your product on an Ethernet network, scroll down and select Disable Wi-Fi instead. Then follow the instructions on changing to a wired network connection in this guide.
  5. Select the name of your wireless network or enter the name manually. To enter the wireless network name manually, select Other Networks and select the Network (SSID) field. Use the displayed keypad to enter your network name.
  6. Select the Password field and enter your wireless password using the displayed keypad. The network name and password are case sensitive. Be sure to correctly enter uppercase and lowercase letters, and numeric or special characters.
  7. Press when you finish entering your password and select Proceed.
  8. Confirm the displayed network settings and select OK to save them. If you need to change a setting, press the back button.
  9. If you want to print a network setup report, press one of the buttons. (Otherwise, select Done.)
  10. Press the home button to return to the Home screen.
If the network connection is successful, the Wi-Fi icon in the upper-right corner of the LCD screen is
lit as shown.

Epson WF 4630 Setup Wi-Fi Direct Mode

You can set up Epson WF 4630 to communicate directly with your computer or another device without requiring a wireless router or access point.
  1. Epson WF 4630

Your printer automatically selects one of these modes to communicate with your computer or device:

Access point mode

If  Epson WF 4630 is not already connected to a wireless network, it enters access point mode and the product itself acts as the network access point for up to 4 devices. When operating in this mode, your product displays an AP connection symbol on the LCD screen.

Peer-to-peer mode

If Epson WF 4630 is already connected to a wireless network, it enters peer-to-peer mode and disconnects from any other networks. This also disables any other product features requiring access to the Internet. When operating in this mode, your product displays a Direct or D connection symbol
on the LCD screen.
To disconnect a peer-to-peer mode connection, release the connection to your product from your computer or other device. Your product will reconnect to the previously used network.

Epson WF 4630 Enabling Wi-Fi Direct Mode

You can enable Wi-Fi Direct mode to allow direct communication between your product and computer or other devices without a wireless router or access point.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press .
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Scroll down and select Wi-Fi Direct Setup.
  5. Select Connection Setup.
  6. Select Change Password and select Yes
  7. Enter your Wi-Fi Direct password.
  8. Press when you finish entering your password.
  9. Scroll down to view the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password.
  10. Use your computer or wireless device to select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the LCD screen, then enter the password shown.
  11. Press the home button to return to the Home screen.
You see either an AP or Direct connection symbol on the LCD screen and should be able to print
directly to your product from your computer or device.
If the AP or Direct connection symbol is not displayed on the LCD screen, Wi-Fi Direct mode
is not enabled. Repeat these steps to try again.

Epson WF 4630 Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

If your network uses a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point, you can quickly connect Epson WF 4630 to the network using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
To check if your router is WPS-enabled, look for a button labeled WPS on your router or access point. If there is no hardware button, there may be a virtual WPS button in the software for the device. Check your network product documentation for details.

Epson WF 4630 Using WPS to Connect to a Network

If you have a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point, you can use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect Epson WF 4630 to the network.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press .
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Select Push Button Setup (WPS).
  5. Follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete WPS setup.
  6. Press the home button to return to the Home screen.

HP DeskJet 3050 Wireless Printer Setup

To connect the HP DeskJet 3050 wireless printer setup network using WiFi Protected Setup (WPS), you will need the following:
  1. A wireless 802.11 network that includes a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point.
  2. A desktop computer or laptop with either wireless networking support, or a network interface card (NIC). The computer must be connected to the wireless network that you intend to install the HP All-in-One on.

To connect the HP DeskJet 3050 wireless setup using WiFi Protected Setup (WPS)
Use Push Button (PBC) method Set up wireless connection.
  1. Press the wireless button on the control panel to show the wireless menu options on the printer HP DeskJet 3050 display.
  2. Select Wireless Settings on the printer display.
  3. Select WPS.
  4. Select Push Button and follow the on-screen instructions on the printer display.
  5. The product begins a timer for approximately two minutes in which the corresponding button on the networking device needs to be pressed.
Use PIN method Set up wireless connection.
  1. Press the wireless button on the control panel to show the wireless menu options on the printer display.
  2. Select WiFi Settings on the printer display.
  3. Select WPS.
  4. Select PIN. The printer display will display a PIN.
  5. Enter the PIN on WPS-enabled router or other networking device.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions on the printer display.
The DeskJet 3050 begins a timer for approximately two minutes in which the PIN needs to be entered on the networking device.

HP DeskJet 3050 Connect to wireless network using HP printer software

To connect the printer to an integrated wireless WLAN 802.11 network, you will need the following:
  1. A wireless 802.11b/g/n network that includes a wireless router or access point.
  2. A computer connected to the wireless network that you intend to connect the printer to.
  3. Network name (SSID).
  4. WEP key or WPA Passphrase (if needed).

To connect your printer using HP printer software (Windows)

1. Depending on whether you have installed the HP printer software or not, do one of the following:
If you have not installed the HP printer software on your computer
  • Insert the printer software CD in your computer. During the software installation, a USB cable might be required for temporary connection between the printer and the computer. Do not connect the USB cable until the printer software prompts to do so.
  • When you are prompted, select Wireless, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
If you have the HP printer software installed on your computer
  1. Open the printer software. For more information, see Open the HP printer software (Windows)
  2. In the printer software, click Tools.
  3. Click Device Setup & Software.
  4. Click Connect a new device, click Wireless, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
2. After the printer connects successfully, the blue Wireless light stops blinking and remains on.

To connect HP DeskJet 3050 using HP printer software (OS X)

1. Depending on whether you have installed the HP printer software or not, do one of the following:
If you have not installed the HP printer software on your computer
  1. Insert the printer software CD in your computer.
  2. Double-click the HP Installer icon on the software CD, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
If you have the HP printer software installed on your computer.
  • Double-click HP Utility in the HP folder in the Applications folder.
  • On the menu bar at the top of the screen, choose Setup New Device from the Devices menu, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
2. After the printer connects successfully, the blue Wireless light stops blinking and remains on.

To connect a new printer (Windows)

  1. Open the printer software. For more information, see Open the HP printer software (Windows)
  2. In the printer software, click Tools.
  3. Select Device Setup & Software.
  4. Select Connect a new device. Follow the onscreen instructions.

To connect a new printer (OS X)

  1. Open System Preferences .
  2. Depending on your operating system, click Printers & Scanners .
  3. Click + below the list of printers at the left.
  4. Select the new printer from the list.

HP DeskJet 3050 Traditional Wireless Connection

To connect the HP All-in-One to an integrated wireless WLAN 802.11 network, you will need the following:
  1. A wireless 802.11 network that includes a wireless router or access point. If you connect the HP All-in-One on a wireless network that has Internet access, HP recommends that you use a wireless router (access point or base station) that uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
  2. A desktop computer or laptop with either wireless networking support, or a network interface card (NIC). The computer must be connected to the wireless network that you intend to install the HP All-in-One on.
  3. Network name (SSID).
  4. WEP key or WPA Passphrase (if needed).
To connect the product
  1. Insert the product Software CD in the computer CD-ROM drive.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen. When you are prompted, connect the product to the computer using the USB setup cable included in the box. Follow the onscreen prompts to enter your wireless network settings. The product will attempt to connect to the network. If the connection fails, follow the prompts to correct the problem, and then try again.
  3. When the setup is finished, you will be prompted to disconnect the USB cable and test the wireless network connection. Once the product connects successfully to the network, install the software on each computer that will use the product over the network.

HP DeskJet 3050 USB Connection

The HP All-in-One supports a rear USB 2.0 High Speed port for connection to a computer.
  1. To connect the HP DeskJet 3050 with the USB cable connecting to a computer with a USB cable.
  2. Do not connect the USB cable to the product until you are prompted to do so.
  3. To enable printer sharing on a Windows computer Refer to the user guide that came with your computer or see the Windows onscreen
To connect the printer with the USB cable
  1. Insert the printer software CD in the computer CD-ROM drive. Do not connect the USB cable to the printer until you are prompted to do so.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions. When you are prompted, connect the printer to the computer by selecting USB on the Connection Options screen.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
If the printer software has been installed, the printer will operate as a plug-and-play device. If the software has not been installed, insert the CD that came with the printer and follow the onscreen instructions
If you first set up your printer and installed the software with a USB cable, directly connecting the printer to your computer, you can easily change to a wireless network connection. You will need a wireless 802.11b/g/n network that includes a wireless router or access point.
Before changing from a USB connection to a wireless network, make sure that:
  1. The printer is connected to your computer with the USB cable until you are prompted to disconnect the cable.
  2. The computer is connected to the wireless network that you intend to install the printer on.

Change from a USB connection to a wireless network (Windows)

1. Open the HP printer software. For more information, see Open the HP printer software (Windows)
2. In the printer software, click Tools.
3. Click Device Setup & Software.
4. Select Convert a USB connected printer to wireless. Follow the onscreen instructions.

To change from a USB connection to a wireless network (OS X)

1. Connect the printer to your wireless network.
2. Use 123.hp.com to change the software connection to wireless for this printer.

Canon PIXMA MX922 Printing with Google Cloud Print

The Canon PIXMA MX922 is compatible with Google Cloud Print(Google Cloud Print is a service provided by Google Inc.). By using Google Cloud Print, you can print from anywhere with applications or services supporting Google Cloud Print. LAN connection with the  printer Canon PIXMA MX922 and Internet connection are required to register the printer  and to print with Google Cloud Print. Internet connection fees apply. This function may not be available depending on the country or region you live in.

To Canon PIXMA MX922 Printing with Google Cloud Print, you need to get Google account and register the device with Google Cloud Print in advance.
  1. Getting Google Account. If you already have Google account, register the printer.
  2. Registering the printer with Google Cloud Print

Getting Google Account

First, get your Google account in order to register the Pixma MX922 with Google Cloud Print. Access to Google Cloud Print with the web browser on the computer or the mobile device, then register the required information.

Registering the Machine with Google Cloud Print

Register the Canon MX922 with Google Cloud Print. The authentication procedure using the web browser on the computer or the mobile device is required in the process of registering. Because the authentication URL is printed from machine when the authentication process is performed, prepare A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.

LAN connection with the printer and Internet connection are required to register the canon and to

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Press the MENU button.
  3. Select Web service, then press the OK button. for more information web service see open

  6. Select Google Cloud Print setup, then press the OK button.
  7. Use the button to select Register with Google Cloud Print, then press the OK button. If you have already registered the machine with Google Cloud Print, the confirmation message to re-register the machine is displayed.
  8. When the confirmation screen to register the machine is displayed, use the button to select Yes, then press the OK button.
  9. Use the button to select a display language on the print setting screen of Google Cloud Print, then press the OK button. The confirmation message to print the authentication URL is displayed.
  10. Load A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.
  11. Press the OK button. The authentication URL is printed.
  12. Ensure that the authentication URL is printed, use the button to select Yes, then press the OK button.
  13. Perform the authentication process using the web browser on the computer or the mobile device. Access to the URL using the web browser on the computer or the mobile device and perform the authentication process following the on-screen instructions. Perform the authentication process with your Google account which you have gotten in advance.
  14. When the message that the registration is complete is displayed on the LCD of the machine, press the OK button.
  • When authentication process is complete properly, the registration items are displayed. When authentication process is complete, you can print the data with Google Cloud Print.
  • When authentication process is not complete properly and the error message is displayed, press the OK button. When the confirmation message to print the authentication URL is displayed, print the authentication URL, then perform the authentication process on the computer again.

Deleting the Canon PIXMA MX922 from Google Cloud Print

If the printer's owner changes or if you want to re-register the canon, delete the canon from Google Cloud Print by following the steps below.
  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Press the MENU button.
  3. Select Web service, then press the OK button. LCD and Operation Panel
  4. Select Web service setup, then press the OK button.
  5. Use the button to select Cloud settings, then press the OK button.
  6. Select Google Cloud Print setup, then press the OK button.
  7. Use the button to select Delete from Google Cloud Print, then press the OK button.
  8. When the confirmation screen to delete the machine is displayed, use the button to select Yes, then press the OK button.

Canon PIXMA MX922 Printing from Computer or Smartphone with Google Cloud Print

When you send print data with Google Cloud Print, the printer canon MX922 receives the print data and prints it automatically if the device is turned on.
When printing from a computer, smartphone, or other external device with Google Cloud Print, load paper into the printer in advance. to Canon MX922 Google Cloud Print Setup following the steps below

Sending the Print Data with Google Cloud Print

  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on. If you want to send the print data from an outside location, turn on the machine in advance.
  2. Print from the computer or smartphone.
  • The figure below is an example of when printing from the web browser corresponding with Google Cloud Print. The screen differs depending on the applications or services supporting Google Cloud Print.
  • When the preparation for printing with Google Cloud Print is complete and when the machine is turned on, the machine receives the print data and prints it automatically.
  • Depending on the communication status, it may take a while to print the print data or the machine may not receive the print data.
  • While printing with Google Cloud Print, the printing may be canceled depending on the machine's status, such as when the machine is being operated or an error has occurred. To resume printing, check the machine's status, then print with Google Cloud Print again.
For print settings:
  1. If you select the media type other than plain paper or if you select the paper size other than A4/
  2. Letter/B5/A5-size, the print data is printed in single-sided even when you select the duplex print setting.
  3. If you select plain paper as media type or if you select B5/A5-size as paper size, the print data is printed with border even when you select the borderless print setting.
  4. The print results may differ from the print image depending on the print data.
Depending on the device sending the print data, you may not select the print settings when sending the print data with Google Cloud Print.

When you want to print from Google Cloud Print immediately

When the printer cannot receive the print data, or you want to start printing immediately, you can check whether there is a print job on the Google Cloud Print and start printing manually.
Follow the steps below.
  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on.
  2. Press the MENU button.
  3. Select Web service, then press the OK button. LCD and Operation Panel
  4. Select Start Cloud print, then press the OK button. If you have not registered the machine with Google Cloud Print, Start Cloud print is not displayed. Register the machine with Google Cloud Print. Registering the Machine with Google Cloud Print
  5. Select Print from Google Cloud Print, then press the OK button. The confirmation screen to check is displayed.
  6. Use the button to select Yes, then press the OK button. If there is the print data, the machine receives the print data and prints it.
