HP ePrint Setup Guide

The HP ePrint App makes printing from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch easy, whether you are at home, in the office, or on the go.
When you add your printer to your HP Connected account anyone who knows your printer's email address can print to your web-enabled printer. The Allowed Senders Only feature controls the email addresses that print to your printer and limits the chance of unwanted printouts.

  1. HP ePrint is a free service from HP that allows you to print to your. HP ePrint enabled printer anywhere you can send an email. Just send your documents and photos to the email address assigned to your printer when you enable Web Services. No additional drivers or software are needed.

  3. Attachments might print differently from the way they appear in the software program that created them, depending on the original fonts and layout options used.
Free product updates are provided with HP ePrint. Some updates might be required to enable certain functionality. Once you have signed up for an account on HP Connected.com, you can sign in to view your ePrint job status, manage HP ePrint setup printer queue, control who can use your printer’s ePrint email address to print, and get help for ePrint.

The printer is connected to an active network providing Internet access. Web Services is turned on. If not, you will be prompted to turn it on. To ePrint a document from anywhere

1.Enable Web Services.
  • From the Home screen, touch the ( ePrint ) icon.
  • Accept the Terms of Use, and then follow the onscreen instructions to enable Web Services.
  • Print the ePrint information page, and then follow the instructions on the page to sign up for an ePrint account.
2. Find your ePrint email address.
  • Touch the ePrint icon on the Home screen. You will see the Web Services Settings menu on the printer display.
  • The printer’s email address appears in the Web Services Settings menu.
3.Email your document to the printer for printing.
  • Create a new email and atta ch the document to print.
  • Send the email to the printer email address.The printer prints the attached document.

The HP ePrint service handles print jobs by sending documents and photos securely to the printer via email. You can send print jobs from your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone as long as you have an active Internet connection and an email account.
Make sure to review the following HP ePrint setup email requirements before you print:
  1. Type the printer's email address in the To: field.
  2. If there are additional email addresses in the same field as the printer's email address, the HP ePrint server cancels the print job. For additional recipients, type the email address in the Cc: field.
  3. Type a subject in the subject line. A blank email subject line might cause the HP ePrint server to cancel the print job.
  4.  Email subject lines do not print.
  5. The total size of the email must be 10 MB or less, including attachments.
  6. No more than 10 attachments per email print job.
  7. The following are supported document file types: text (.txt), PDF, HTML, Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), and Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx).
  8. The following are supported photo file types: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, and .tiff.
  9. Photos must have a horizontal and vertical resolution of 100 pixels or higher.
  10. Digitally signed, encrypted, or password protected documents are not supported by HP ePrint.
  11. OpenOffice files are not supported by HP ePrint.
  12. Duplex printing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported by HP ePrint.
  13. You cannot print email attachments without printing the email also.
  14. Time stamps from the HP ePrint server do not accurately reflect when the print job was created or printed.

The ePrint server does not accept email print jobs if there are multiple email addresses included in the "To" or "Cc" fields. Only enter the HP ePrint email address in the "To" field. Do not enter any additional email addresses in the other fields. The email will be printed once it is received. As with any email, there is no guarantee when or whether it will be received.
