Epson XP 330 Wireless Setup

You can set up Epson XP 330 to communicate with your computer using a wireless router or access point.
The wireless router or access point can be connected to your computer over a wireless or wired network.

Epson XP 330 Selecting Wireless Network Settings From the Control Panel

You can select or change wireless network settings using XP 330 control panel.
To install Epson XP 330 wireless network, follow the instructions on the Start Here sheet and install
the necessary software from the product CD or by downloading it. The installer program guides you
through network setup.
Breakdown or repair of this product may cause loss of fax and network data and settings. Epson is
not responsible for backing up or recovering data and settings during or after the warranty period. We recommend that you make your own backup or print out your fax and network data and settings.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press Wi-Fi button
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.
  5. Select the name of your wireless network or enter the name manually.
  6. Select the Password field, and enter your wireless password using the displayed keypad.
  7. Press when you’re finished entering your password, then select Proceed.
  8. Confirm the displayed network settings and select OK to save them.
  9. If you want to print a network setup report, press one of the buttons. (Otherwise, select Done.)
  10. Press the home button to return to the Home screen.
If the network connection is successful, the Wi-Fi icon in the upper-right corner of the LCD screen is
lit as shown.

Epson XP 330 Wi-Fi Direct Mode Setup

You can set up Epson XP 330 to communicate directly with your computer or another device without
requiring a wireless router or access point.

Epson XP 330 automatically selects one of these modes to communicate with your computer or device:
Access point mode
If your product is not already connected to a wireless network, it enters access point mode and the
product itself acts as the network access point for up to 4 devices. When operating in this mode, your
product displays an AP connection symbol on the LCD screen.

Epson XP 330 Peer-to-peer mode

If Epson 330 is already connected to a wireless network, it enters peer-to-peer mode and disconnects from any other networks. This also disables any other product features requiring access to the Internet. When operating in this mode, your product displays a Direct or D connection symbol on the LCD screen.
To disconnect a peer-to-peer mode connection, release the connection to your product from your computer or other device. Your product will reconnect to the previously used network.

Epson XP 330 Enabling Wi-Fi Direct Mode

You can enable Wi-Fi Direct mode to allow direct communication between your product and computer or
other devices without a wireless router or access point.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press wifi button .
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Scroll down and select Wi-Fi Direct Setup.
  5. Select Connection Setup.
  6. Select Change Password, then select Yes.
  7. Enter a Wi-Fi Direct password using the displayed keyboard.
  8. Press when you’re finished entering your password.
  9. Scroll down to view the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password.
  10. Use your computer or wireless device to select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the LCD screen, then enter the password shown.
  11. Press the home button to return to the Home screen.
You see either an AP, D, or Direct connection symbol on the LCD screen and should be able to print
directly to your product from your computer or device. If the AP, D, or Direct connection symbol is not displayed on the LCD screen, Wi-Fi Direct mode is not enabled. Repeat these steps to try again.

Epson XP 330 Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

If your network uses a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point, you can quickly connect your printer to the network using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). To check if your router is WPS-enabled, look for a button labeled WPS on your router or access point. If there is no hardware button, there may be a virtual WPS button in the software for the device. Check your network product documentation for details.

Epson XP 330 Using WPS to Connect to a Network

If you have a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point, you can use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to
connect your product to the network.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press wifi button
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Select Push Button Setup (WPS).
  5. Follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete WPS setup.
  6. Press the home button to return to the Home screen when finished.
If the network connection is successful, the Wi-Fi icon in the upper-right corner of the LCD screen is
lit as shown.

Epson XP 330 Printing a Network Status Sheet

You can print a network status sheet to help you determine the causes of any problems you may have
using your product on a network.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Select Setup.
  3. Select Network Status.
  4. Select Wi-Fi/Network Status.
  5. Select Print, then press one of the buttons to print the network status sheet.
Examine the settings shown on the network status sheet to diagnose any problems you have.

Epson XP 330 Accessing the Web Config Utility

You can select Epson XP 330 Wireless Setup network settings and confirm its operating status using a web browser.
You do this by accessing your product's built-in Web Config utility from a computer or other device that is
connected to the same network as your product.
  1. Print a network status sheet.
  2. Locate the IP Address for your product that is listed on the network status sheet.
  3. On a computer or other device connected to the same network as your product, open a web browser.
  4. Enter your product's IP address into the address bar.

Epson XP 330 Changing a USB Connection to a Wi-Fi Connection

If you have already connected XP 330 to your computer using a USB connection, you can change
to a Wi-Fi connection or add a Wi-Fi connection to print wirelessly.
1. Do one of the following:
  • If you want to use only a Wi-Fi connection, disconnect the USB cable from your product. With Windows, also uninstall your product software.
  • If you want to add a Wi-Fi connection in addition to a USB connection, leave the USB cable connected to your product.
2. Download your product software from the Epson website

Epson XP 330 Changing a Wi-Fi Connection to a Wired Network Connection

If you have already connected your product to your computer wirelessly, you can change to a wired
network connection if necessary.
  1. Disable your product's Wi-Fi features.
  2. Connect one end of an Ethernet network cable to the product's LAN port.
  3. Connect the other end to any available LAN port on your router or access point.
  4. Download and install your product software from the Epson website, or install it from the CD that came with your product.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  6. When you see the Select Your Connection screen, select Wired network connection.
  7. If you see a Select Setup Option screen, select Setup printer for the first time.
  8. Continue following the rest of the on-screen instructions.

Epson XP 330 Connecting to a New Wi-Fi Router

If you change the wireless router you have been using on your network, you can update your product's
Wi-Fi connection to the new router.
1. Do one of the following:
  • Windows: Uninstall your product software.
  • OS X: Go to the next step.
2. Download your product software from the Epson website, or install it from the CD that came with
your product using the instructions on the Start Here sheet.

Epson XP 330 Disabling Wi-Fi Features

You may need to disable your product's Wi-Fi features if you change your network connection type or
need to solve a problem with your network connection. Before disabling Wi-Fi features, make a note of your product's SSID (network name) and
password, and any network settings selected for the Epson Connect services you may use.
  1. Press the home button, if necessary.
  2. Press .
  3. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
  4. Scroll down and select Disable Wi-Fi.
  5. Select Yes to disable Wi-Fi.
